Words become meaningless. :|

Data: handheld, iso800, f5.0, 1/400s, 56mm, no filter. handed him enough for a burger
Postprocessing: as in viewfinder, channel-mixer on everything but the M's

Update: I'm new to this prints thing but I uploaded a version that prints well in both
heavyweight-matte and premium semigloss on my epson r800. Hopefully the uploaded
version works well with dA's printing as well. Print version slightly dodged to bring forth
man behind window.

Thanks to: *anjules for suggesting this to ^Moonbeam13 who featured this as
a daily deviation. And they kept me in the dark. Thanks for featuring streetshots too. :blowkiss:

Also thanks to: everyone who feels something when they see this shot, and thanks
to everyone who comments and gives me insight in your thoughts and feelings, that's very
valuable to me. Thank you all. :w00t:

As I lay in my bed, looking up to the stars and the moon, I started to ask myself: "Where the hell is my ceiling?"

you caught the bleak, ruthless atmosphere so well - excellent picture, especially his pose...
it is also good that you got someone sitting on the chair inside McDumb although this could even be a bit more pronounced (you probably would have had to try lots of different perspectives, this probably wouldn't have been good for the photo. don't know. just thinking...)
the mirrored golden M shows the omnipresence of the McWorld....

Great shot.. We don't really have anything going on in our streets here. never tried any of this kinda work.. Pulled it off well, the title and captions are great.. Life is sad sometimes.. But perhaps people like that are put here to remind others how wonderful they have it.. Unfortunately I don't think the others see that... :-(

Wow, again you managed to find very good moment: these two opposites about capitalistic wealth and on the contrary lack and poverty. Makes me really think what should be done that there would be more equality although sometimes it may be possible that these poor fellows are the main reason for their problems which they have created by themself. Alot of things different things came into my head too, but guess I wont share these all because no one wouldn't stand to read those thoughts... :D

Quite brilliant photo in overall. Would work amazingly in any newspaper. :)

Really good shot, you caught the situation well.

Did you really have to get rid of most of the colour though? I can't help but think that the full colour version would be better, just to see the colour in the mans cheeks
